AGS is a transformative platform where adolescent girls from diverse backgrounds, identities, and abilities connect, share their stories, build solidarity, and amplify their voices to advocate for their rights and challenge harmful gender norms. It's a space for learning, leadership development, and collective action for gender justice across Africa.
AGS 2026 will take place from March 31 - April 3, 2026 in Yamoussokro, Côte d'Ivoire.
The summit will bring together 250+ young leaders from 13+ African countries for four days of intensive workshops, networking, and collaborative action planning.
The theme for AGS 2026 is "Count Us In: African Adolescents Co-Creating Solutions to Advance Gender Justice and Rights."
This theme emphasizes the critical role of young people as partners and leaders in creating lasting change for gender equality across the continent.
AGS is Global Fund for Children's flagship adolescent-led initiative, organized in partnership with local youth organizations, international NGOs, government agencies, and private sector institutions committed to advancing girls' rights and gender justice.
